In early June 2004, Star Wars Fanworks participated in various panels and sessions at ConCarolinas 2004 in Charlotte, North Carolina. As part of their great support for Fanworks, the convention organizers helped to set up the ChronoRadio and Requiem of the Outcast hosts with a joint sit-down interview on the first night of the convention with the original Star Wars novel author, Alan Dean Foster. The interviewing team included Nathan P. Butler (your regular CR host) and the full three-person ROTO panel of Rich Sigfrit, Ron Garner, and Janine Garner.

This eighteenth Interview Edition of ChronoRadio acts as part one of the interview with Mr. Foster, which continues in a segment cut from the uncirculating Requiem of the Outcast: Special Edition I that can be found in the Features area.
