Dragon*Con 2004 - Fan Audio Panel
Atlanta, Georgia, USA
Monday, September 6, 2004

One year after fan audio finally got its due with its own panel at Dragon*Con 2003 (the Rise of Nobility panel that became a general fan audio panel with a RON focus), and just a few months after fan audio enjoyed great success at ConCarolinas 2004, a reinvigorated fan audio troupe journeyed to Dragon*Con 2004 in Atlanta, Georgia, for the third-ever Star Wars fan audio panel.

The panel, entitled The Star Wars Fan Audio Revolution, was held from 11:30 - 12:30 in the Dunwoody room of the Hyatt-Regency Hotel in Atlanta on Monday, September 6, 2004. In attendance were Nathan P. Butler (Fanworks, ChronoRadio, Second Strike), Janine Garner (Requiem of the Outcast), Ron Garner (Requiem of the Outcast), Amy Ferrell (Second Strike, Responsibility), Christopher Walker (To Overcome, The Invasion Begins), and Krista Kolesar (Nothing Changes, Parallels). Thus, the panel was a mixture of Dragon*Con 2003 alumni (Butler), ConCarolinas 2004 alumni (Butler, Ferrell, and the Garners), and two fan audio panel newcomers (Walker and Kolesar).

While resting in a less-than-perfect time slot (the morning after numerous parties, set as many were checking out and heading for home, and, of course, with Hurricane Frances' aftermath bearing down on Atlanta), the panel went well, though garnering less of an audience than one might have hoped.

For those who couldn't make it (and thereby missed out on the chance to win fabulous ROTO t-shirts), we present the panel here for you at Fanworks. We hope you enjoy listening half as much as we enjoyed the opportunity itself.
