ChronoRadio: The Phantom Menace Commentary

A fan commentary of The Phantom Menace? Who else but Nathan Butler would attempt such thing? Is it worth my time to download?

To date, no one else but ChronoRadio founder Nathan Butler has had the audacity to create a fan commentary for The Phantom Menace (He has further plans to record one for each movie in the series). By simply hitting play when he says to, you can perfectly synch your movie to his commentary.

Nathan's commentary covers such diverse areas as script changes, continuity with a diverse range of EU material, map-making in a made up universe, logical lapses, storytelling, Jar Jar, the handmaiden/queen switcheroo, stereotypes, and general Star Wars trivia, as well a fair amount of joking (some favorite targets include Michael Jackson and Bill Clinton).

The commentary is fairly informative. If you were curious about how the continuity related to the movie (what books, comics, etc. should be read for more information on your favorite character), this commentary delivers. You also get a fairly entertaining look at what Nathan thinks is right and wrong with The Phantom Menace.

However, with the occasional foray into adult language and subject matter, it will not be for everyone.

So, if you are not easily offended, give this commentary a listen.
