Smuggler's Run

Smuggler's Run is the story of two smugglers, who are asked by an Imperial defector to rendezvous with Princess Leia Organa and transmit the plans for a secret battle station. They are then intercepted by the bounty hunter Dantoris, who has other plans for the information . . .

Clocking in at a over 14.5 minutes, Smuggler's Run excels at sound effects and background music. The story has a good, quick pace and a definite sense of style. It also gives several subtle nods to Brain Daley's Han Solo books.

However, all four characters are voiced by the same two actors; each played one of the smugglers, one the Imperial defector (with a slight accent) and the other Dantoris (with modulation). Frankly, when the Imperial defector was talking with the smugglers, I lost track of who was speaking, until the defector's accent came back stronger.

Smuggler's Run is an enjoyable drama, with a few problems, and I hope that the guys from Omega Pictures continue the audio adventures of Dax and Bru.
