My name is Joe Harrison and I am a Bible-Believing Christian whom has been on a long journey through Christianity especially from 2008 to the present time. I received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour when I was about seven years old. I grew up in—what I believe was—an ideal Christian family. I went to Church almost every Sunday. Of course… I paid absolutely no attention and would usually just draw on paper I had brought with me. Initially I went to a Methodist church. Then when things began to change my family and I ended up leaving and attending a Baptist church, where I remained for several years until a ‘daughter church’ splintered off—a Community church—which I attended for another several years. It was in this Community church that I really began to grow in my Faith in Christ. When the pastor, whom is a good friend of mine, was called away to give aid to another struggling church, I ended up leaving and returning to the afore mentioned Baptist church, which is where I am today. I don't consider myself a Baptist. Or a Methodist. Or a Presbyterian. Or a Lutheran. Or an Orthodox Christian. Or any other denomination or sect. I suppose I may be considered Non-Denominational, then. Maybe. I also don't consider myself a Calvinist, Arminian, Wesleyan, or any other ist and ian, etc. I am a Bible-believing Christian. The End. You want to know exactly what I believe in? Read the Mission Statement below. In the mean time, as mentioned I have been journeying deep into my Faith from '08 to the present. And you can definitely witness all the changes in me if you listen to the show from beginning to end. I have been doing this show since January 2009, and I shall continue as long as the LORD wants me to.

03-08-10: "Scare Tactics"
Total Running Time: 49:54 / File Size: 45.6MB

Note: An important announcement opens up the show, so please pay attention. We take a look at a subject that is just about as juicy as the Kids on Fire Ministries discussed in the very first episode of the show.

03-01-10: "Summer is Near"
Total Running Time: 37:33 / File Size: 34.3MB / Episode #054

No, your eyes aren't paying tricks on you: Only one half hour this time. And actually there is a possibility that may become the new norm for the show. More information in the introduction of the episode. In this episode, topic-wise, we discuss some of Jesus' words concerning the End Times and His Second Coming.

02-22-10 Half-Hour 1: "Over-Emphasizing God's Love"
Total Running Time: 32:58 / File Size: 30.1MB / Episode #053.1

Last week we talked about how a large percentage of the American Church focuses too much on God's Anger, Hatred and Wrath, distorting (even more) the world's view of Yahweh as an Angry Judge who wants to smite us, but Jesus is standing in between us and God, holding God back. God's essence is not Anger, it is Love. But, as strange as it may sound, we can dangerously over-emphasize His Love...

02-22-10 Half-Hour 2: "It Is Well With My Soul"
Total Running Time: 38:08 / File Size: 34.9MB / Episode #053.2

Earlier this evening I struggled with God over the subject of trials and tribulations. We duked it out for nearly two hours, all the while I was asking for wisdom to understand, and as He promised in the Scriptures, He helped me to understand the difference between "cause" and "allow", and the ultimate result.

02-15-10 Half-Hour 1: "Personal Struggles with Stress"
Total Running Time: 30:00 / File Size: 27.4MB / Episode #052.1

Christianese Radio finally returns after a two-week drought! And, as always, I bring some explanations to the table and share my personal struggle these past two weeks with stress and how God has been helping me. We also take a look at the old/new poll.

02-15-10 Half-Hour 2: "The 'God of Anger, Hatred & Wrath'"
Total Running Time: 32:57 / File Size: 30.1MB / Episode #052.2

I examine my previous attitude about God and who He is, along with the other Christians out there who insist on painting a picture for the world of an angry God who's out to kill everybody.

Show Postponed
Posted by Joe Harrison / Monday, February 1, 2010 @ 2:00am

Very sorry, peeps, but Christianese Radio is going to be postponed. I had some weekend work that I really had to get done so I didn't have time to do the show. But, Lord-willing, the new episode should be out either Tuesday or Wednesday. So be sure to check back here (or your Podcast feed) throughout the week! In the mean time, check out the poll midway down this page and cast your vote.

01-25-10 Half-Hour 1: "The OTHER Uncomfortable Subject"
Total Running Time: 27:43 / File Size: 25.3MB / Episode #051.1

I apologize one hundred fold. This Half-Hour really is mostly me musing about sharing the Gospel, and some thoughts I've had about it this past week. But I talk about some other stuff, too. So don't worry. Too much.

01-25-10 Half-Hour 2: "Is The Church Losing Focus?"
Total Running Time: 33:28 / File Size: 30.6MB / Episode #051.1

A follow-up to last week's episode (Half-Hour 2) about tithing. A discussion for a person against tithing prompted me to think a lot about the current state of the church and how it may have lost its primary focus.

01-18-10 Half-Hour 1: "Number 50"
Total Running Time: 35:55 / File Size: 32.8MB / Episode #050.1

It's Episode 50 of Christianese Radio! You never know what you might hear in this episode as we celebrate 50 episodes!

01-18-10 Half-Hour 2: "Emergent Tithing"
Total Running Time: 36:11 / File Size: 33.1MB / Episode #050.2

I know, I know. We've already dealt with the Emergent Church. But an article I read recently really shed some more light on the ideas behind and within it. In the remaining time we also talk briefly about Tithing, an uncomfortable subject for many Christians.

01-11-10 Half-Hour 1: "Tying Up Some Loose Ends"
Total Running Time: 25:45 / File Size: 23.5MB / Episode #049.1

We take a look at last week's wonderful poll, the new poll, "wonderful" events in my life, Christian music, and finally read an e-mail in regards to the 12-10-09 episode, particularly the question about Self-Defense.

01-11-10 Half-Hour 2: "Media Highlights"
Total Running Time: 33:13 / File Size: 30.4MB / Episode #049.2

We take a look at the latest Christianity-related highlight in the media and turn the clock back a bit to look at one from the past the some of you may not have had the chance to see or hear. It's things like the former that really are convincing me that God is still really hard at work here in the United States of America.

01-04-10 Half-Hour 1: "Prophesying, Healing, and Overall Miracle-Making"
Total Running Time: 31:30 / File Size: 28.8MB / Episode #048.1

Do Christians today still have the ability to perform miracles, such as healing, prophesying, etc.? Well there sure seem to be a lot of "Christians" out there who are under the impression that we still can. But we examine this subject and put it where it belongs: up against the Bible.

01-04-10 Half-Hour 2: "Introverts in Christianity"
Total Running Time: 28:52 / File Size: 26.4MB / Episode #048.2

Yet again we read another article, but I found this one interesting; on the subject of Christian Introverts, this article/interview shares some encouragement to those of us who aren't necessarily shy as it were, but not as interactive as some Christians (extroverts) are.

12-14-09 Half-Hour 1: "The Andrew Show"
Total Running Time: 30:48 / File Size: 28.2MB / Episode #047.1

Couldn't help but take some pokes at my bro-in-law. In this Half-Hour we hear listener feedback from Andrew in regards to topics discussed in the previous episode.

12-14-09 Half-Hour 2: "Declarations of the Church"
Total Running Time: 28:47 / File Size: 26.3MB / Episode #047.2

Much is happening that is showing churches of various denominations uniting together to stand firm in their Faith. Yet, for whatever reason, there are some Christians who are crossing their arms and shaking their heads at this so-called 'unity'. In this half-hour we take a look at the Manhattan Declaration.

Total Running Time: 24:43 / File Size: 22.6MB / Episode #046.1

Satan's putting on the pressure, but not only that, but in the midst of the stress opportunities that have been prayed for are opening up... but now there's second-guessing. We also take a look at the old and new Poll questions. All of this and more in Half-Hour 1.

12-10-09 Half-Hour 2: "In The News"
Total Running Time: 32:07 / File Size: 29.4MB / Episode #046.2

Taking a look at two big items in the news of late. One of them is old news, the other is new news, and both of them are quite controversial.

11-30-09 Half-Hour 1: "Youth Groups... Continued"
Total Running Time: 29:59 / File Size: 27.4MB / Episode #045.1

Returning again to the subject of Youth Groups we read a couple responses from listeners and blog-readers on the subject of Youth Groups, hearing both from a Youth Leader and a Youth Group attender, who both shed some light on the issue.

11-30-09 Half-Hour 2: "The True Thanksgiving Story"
Total Running Time: 34:18 / File Size: 31.4MB / Episode #045.2

Cheating just a little bit, I listen in with you guys as we play an audio clip from Rush Limbaugh's show in which he reads an excerpt about the true Thanksgiving Story from his book, See, I Told You. Note that I do not endorse Limbaugh as I know there can be times when he's a little... out there. But I really believe you will enjoy this researched presentation of how the first Thanksgiving really went, compared with the version we're all familiar with and the one that most of us have been taught.

11-23-09 Half-Hour 1: "Satan's Regrets & Muslim Redemption"
Total Running Time: 27:28 / File Size: 25.1MB / Episode #044.1

We finish up some discussion about the questions from the previous episode about Satan and his capability of turning back to God, as well as looking at the results of the latest poll question "Is there ever a BAD time to share the Gospel?". Finally we look at what God is doing in Muslim society, and how He is miraculously and awesomely saving Muslims.

11-23-09 Half-Hour 2: "The Dangers of Youth Group"
Total Running Time: 28:55 / File Size: 26.4MB / Episode #044.1

As a follow-up to the latest Christianese Radio Blog post by the same name (see below), I read the blogpost as well as an addendum and give some further thoughts and clarification on the matter. Youth Groups are sliding dangerously close to the Emerging Church movement; moreso than the Church itself. We need to be wary of what's going on and we need to call Youth Leaders' attention to the problem.

The Dangers of Youth Group
Blogpost by Joe Harrison / Saturday, November 21, 2009 @ 3:38pm

Youth Group. Young Life. Teen Gathering. Young Adults on Fire. Whatever you want to call it, almost instantly it sends a shiver of discomfort down my spine. Youth Group can be a very dangerous thing for the young kids out there who are either new Christians or not Christians at all. Why, you ask? Because Youth Groups that actually teach the words of God, the lessons of Christ, and so on, are far and few in between...[read more]

Show Delayed
Blogpost by Joe Harrison / Sunday, November 15, 2009 @ 11:10pm

Much apologies, this week's episode of Christianese Radio will be delayed. Nothing bad has happened as much as it is just that I feel like a weekload of exhaustion that has been held back has suddenly been dumped on me. Lord-willing there will be a show this week, possibly Tuesday or Wednesday. I definitely have a lot I want to talk about and share, so I'm excited about being able to do it. It's just a matter of "when".

But until whenever it happens happens, the Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.

to Christianese Radio, a weekly podcast (every Monday) about Biblical Christianity. If you are a first time visitor I would like to inform you of a few things. Firstly, I would suggest skipping a lot of the first episodes. Why? A mixture. My voice sounds terrible, but also my Faith and Beliefs are a little whacky. I often get hot-headed and handle a number of situations badly. And much more. But if you insist on listening from the beginning, I suppose I can't stop you.

Christianese Radio attempts to provide a Biblical worldview and mindset of everyday situations and struggles. From lust to fear, from pride to divorce, from abortion to anger, from demons to politics, and more, and covers what the Born-Again Christian should do in life; Evangelism (Matt. 28:19-20), reading the Scriptures (John 8:31), steering clear of worldly-Christianity (Rom. 12:2), and standing up for Christ & being ready to "make a defense" (1 Ptr 3:15). Caution is advised; for you will find no sugar-coated messages ahead. Just the Truth, as is.

We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth, and of all things visible and invisible; And in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Only-begotten, Begotten of the Father before all ages, Light of Light, True God of True God, Begotten, not made, of one essence with the Father, by Whom all things were made: Who for us men and for our salvation came down from heaven, and was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, and was made man; And was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate, and suffered and was buried; And the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures; And ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of the Father; And He shall come again with glory to judge the living and the dead, Whose kingdom shall have no end. And we believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, and Giver of Life, Who proceedeth from the Father, Who with the Father and the Son together is worshipped and glorified, Who spoke by the Prophets; And we believe in One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. We acknowledge one Baptism for the remission of sins. We look for the Resurrection of the dead, And the Life of the age to come. Amen.
