Podcasts
Lion's Mouth Entertainment has always been a little "shakey" in the area of podcasting. It's first show, ALTA Radio, was (and
is) not even a podcast but a direct-download show. ALTA Radio was hosted by Joe Harrison and Silas Carder, and was their first
attempt to radio show hosting. While the show was fairly well received, the gap between episodes grew wider and wider until the show
unfortunately met its official cancellation in late 2008. But that wasn't the end for either hosts. During ALTA Radio's last couple
of episodes, Harrison started up his own podcast entitled Tosche Station eXM that began as a monthly show. But it, too, quickly began
to suffer the "LME Podcasting Curse" of reaching 4-5 episodes and then slamming into a brick wall, followed by a very long draught.
Meanwhile, Silas Carder, now married to Andrew Gilbertson (Erelor, The Age of the Swords), began her own show with her husband, Spinoff(distributed under No Line Radio). The series ran for several episodes until also succumbing to the Curse. According to its hosts,Spinoff has been unofficially cancelled. During the Tosche Station eXM draught, however, Joe Harrison "returned with a vengeance"
with a new podcast, Christianese Radio. This new series is notable for breaking the "LME Podcasting Curse" by not only successfully
becoming a weekly show but by surpassing the 4-5 episode mark (the show currently stands at 40+ episodes). The Curse was also broken
a second time when Tosche Station eXM made its big return in August/September as the new and improved ToscheCast, with a brand new
episode and subsequent episodes which feature an interactive audience (staged). As of June 2010, all of LME's podcasts, including
No Line Cinemas' Spinoff, came to a close... and hosts Joe Harrison, Andrew GIlbertson, and Silas Carder came together once more,
this time permanently, for the new bi-weekly podcast, The Oblivion Continuum.
