Reminder: ConCarolinas This Weekend!

The annual event that brings Fanworks personalities together finally arrives this weekend (June 4 - 6).

ConCarolinas 2010 (also DeepSouthCon 48) takes place this weekend at the Hilton Charlotte University Place in Charlotte, North Carolina. Big name guests include: Jerry Pournelle (Writer Guest of Honor); John Ringo (Special Writer Guest); Bill and Brenda Sutton (Music Guests of Honor); Ed Beard, Jr. (Artist Guest of Honor); Richard Hatch (Media Guest of Honor); Albin Johnson (Fan Guest of Honor); Supernatural Encounters Radio (Special Paramormal Guests); Bill Blair (Special Media Guest); Claudia Christian (Special Media Guest); and Brian Halloway (Master of Ceremonies).

If seeing some of those names (particularly Battlestar Galactica's Richard Hatch, Babylon 5's Claudia Christian, or 501st founder Albin Johnson) don't get your attention, Fanworks visitors can also expect to be able to catch up with notable Star Wars (and Grail Quest Books, come to think of it) fan audio parsonalities like Chris Walker, Joe Harrison, Andrew Gilbertson, Sarah "Silas Carder" Gilbertson, and Nathan P. Butler, plus former Fanworks community members like Rich Sigfrit.

At present, Butler, as an official guest, rather than an attendee, is scheduled to particpate in Friday night's Book Launch (6 p.m.) and Collaborations (7 p.m.) panels, then to take part in Saturday panels on Star Wars (9 a.m.), Lost (10 a.m.), and podcasting (1 p.m.). Butler and other Fanworks attendees will likely also join in on other events and set up some of their own (so be sure to let us know who you are if you're there).
