Expanded, Explained, and Sometimes Extraordinary
New Versions of Outcasts Episodes Coming Soon In 2007, Devin Cox launched the audio drama series Knights of the Old Republic: Outcasts, based on a fan fiction series by the same name, written by Jenna Wilson and Devin himself. In the first episode, the character Aeron Rhade was played by Devin Cox. By the time that the second episode was released, Devin had recast the part of Aeron to voice actor Hazen Nester. Not content to allow the project to lack consistency, Devin re-edited a new version of the first episode, featuring Hazen, rather than Devin, as Aeron. Now, the same has happened again, it seems. Donna L. Charles, who played both Liana and Selene Bladedancer in the first two episodes of the series, has had to bow out of the production, leading to the recasting of Liana to Catherine Rinella and Selene to Melissa D. Johnson. As such, Devin is again remixing parts of the two released episodes to create new versions with these two new voice actresses in the roles. That will mean that we will soon be seeing a revised version of the second episode and a second revised version of the first episode. Meanwhile, the third episode is currently in production, nearing completion. Casting is complete, and lines are being turned in, for the fourth and fifth episodes. The sixth and seventh episodes still have open casting calls, ending July 5, 2008. (One should note that while the fan fiction series was eight episodes, the audio drama has merged some segments, allowing it to exist in the form of only seven episodes.) More on the series as it develops. Knights of the Old Republic: Outcasts |
